As an Internet/Web company, technology is our business. Research and development help keep us on the leading edge. We value very much our ties to our academic affiliations: (Note: following these links leads you off the Webtong site.)

  • The Institute for Computational Mathematics, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, USA
  • The Visual Communication Design Department, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, USA
  • The Mathematics and Computer Science Department, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, USA
  • The Mathematical Mechanization Research Center, Beijing, People's Republic of China

Web Design and Programming

Webtong is connected to the curriculum development of senior and graduate level courses on Web Design and Programming and involved with Internet and Web protocol research.

The heavily Web-based course combines Visual Communications Design with advanced computing.

I A M C

Making mathematical formulas and computation available easily and simply on the Internet and the Web is important in many respects and is being developed at the W3C (MathML), IBM (TechExplorer), and in Europe (OpenMath). Our research affiliates at ICM/Kent, and others, are investigating encoding standards, protocols, and systems to make mathematical formulas and computations available and interoperable on the Internet and the Web.
